Home	Samsung Scholarship

In gratitude for the sacrifices of American service men and women during the Korean War, the Samsung Corporation of Korea has established a scholarship program for the descendants of American veterans. These scholarships can total in excess of $20,000 and are distributed through the American Legion.

The Legion has chosen to use being selected as a delegate to Boys State and Girls State as the first eligibility criteria.

ELIGIBILITY: High school juniors who participate in and complete either an American Legion Boys State or American Legion Auxiliary Girls State program (2009 program year) and is a direct descendant, i.e. child, grandchild, great grandchild, or legally adopted child, of a U.S. veteran who served during a period of war. The scholarship may be used for undergraduate study only at an accredited U.S. college or university.

*APPLICATIONS: Applications may be accessed by clicking "Apply for Samsung Scholarship".  They must then be printed out and mailed in.
